This three-week workshop series for livestock-based businesses will be held online. It is specifically targeted at existing meat, fiber, small ruminant dairy, or other livestock value-added processing businesses. A team of Cornell Cooperative Extension Educators will provide tools to assess your existing business and to assist in understanding options for business expansion or transfer. The workshop series will also be of benefit to livestock value-added business startups and is of relevance to both owners and employees in management positions.
The Webinars will be held Tuesday evenings, April 4th, 11th, and 18th from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Session One: Understanding Cash Flow, Marketing, Value of Customer Base and Customer Communications
Session Two: Financial planning for the future, Valuation of assets, checklist
Session Three: Benefit of an exit strategy from startups to retirement, Identification of a successor, and Working with professionals
The fee is $100 per business (There are a few scholarships available!). Multiple staff from your business may participate in the classes. Registration is limited to enhance group discussions; Q&A will not be recorded. Recording will be limited to the formal presentations; these will be made available for registrants wishing to review sessions or those unable to attend live session.
