Dr. Lindsay Goodale is an equine veterinarian who holds teaching and extension roles at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She teaches courses in equine biology and management, domestic animal behavior and animal welfare science. As Cornell Cooperative Extension’s equine specialist, Dr. Goodale also serves as a resource for the state’s extension educators, horse owners, and industry professionals. She is currently pursuing board certification by the American College of Animal Welfare (ACAW), a veterinary specialty recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association. ACAW diplomates are veterinarians recognized as board-certified experts in animal welfare. Dr. Goodale is one of the only veterinarians in this specialty focused on equine welfare. She holds a DVM from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Mount Holyoke College.
